Rediscovering Jesus’ Kingdom
If you really want to know Jesus and follow Him, then you can’t just embrace Jesus, you also need to embrace His Kingdom. Jesus didn’t come to help us escape the world, He came to reclaim it.
When we say we want His Kingdom to come, do we even know what it is we’re asking for? What are the ways Jesus reclaims His world and where do we fit into His agenda?
His Kingdom seems absolutely backward from the way everything else operates, and yet it’s just what this world needs. Join us as we rediscover Jesus’ Kingdom through the Gospel account of Luke.

Peter Cha - The Gospel and Cultural Diversity
In this discussion, we explore the implications of the gospel on cultural diversity and why it is important for the church to work towards it. Dr. Peter Cha is a professor from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS). He has extensive experience in pastoral and multicultural ministry. In addition, he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago, his master’s at TEDS, and his PhD at Northwestern University. QUESTIONS FROM PETER: Within a 5-10mile radius from your church campus, what significant people groups dwell there? What new people groups have moved into this area? In what ways might your church be able to intentionally reach out and serve all people groups who dwell within this 5-10 mile radius mission field? What might be some of the costs and challenges when your campus invites and embraces all people groups who live within this 5-10 mile radius? What might be the benefits of doing so?

Conversation Starters
Conversation Starters are one way we at Christ Community seek to dig deeper into the current sermon and biblical text. They are available during community group sessions.
To locate Conversation Starters go to your Weekly Update emails, delivered to your personal email every Saturday morning. They will always contain a link to Sermon Notes, and Conversation Starters (when available).
