Rediscovering Jesus’ Kingdom
If you really want to know Jesus and follow Him, then you can’t just embrace Jesus, you also need to embrace His Kingdom. Jesus didn’t come to help us escape the world, He came to reclaim it.
When we say we want His Kingdom to come, do we even know what it is we’re asking for? What are the ways Jesus reclaims His world and where do we fit into His agenda?
His Kingdom seems absolutely backward from the way everything else operates, and yet it’s just what this world needs. Join us as we rediscover Jesus’ Kingdom through the Gospel account of Luke.

Parables: The Pharisee and the Tax Collector - 12
Do you feel the pressure to do the right thing? To try to be better? To get it right? To be a good person? The pressure is high because we want to be loved and welcomed by our people. But what if we fall short? What if we get it wrong? What then? ~~~~~~~~~~ CONNECT: https://ccefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/1304/responses/new WEB: http://ChristCommunityKC.org/shawnee IG: https://www.instagram.com/christcommunitykc/ FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/christcommunity.shawnee
From Series: "Parables: from the Book of Luke - Shawnee Campus"
Jesus’s teachings weren’t always straightforward. In fact, even as someone widely known as the greatest teacher and communicator the world has ever seen, Jesus often spoke in ways that purposefully confounded crowds and left some people walking away confused. Jesus spoke in riddles and stories, and in these teachings, there was always a twist. A reversal. In other words, something that makes us want to lean in desiring to know more, or to get up and walk away. Most of all, Jesus’ parables are a window... a window into the upside-down, paradoxical kingdom of God. Join us this summer as we explore Jesus’ brilliant stories and as we seek out His kingdom revealed to us in their midst.
