A Church For The End of The World
The world is changing. Technological progress has led to amazing developments – we can access anything, anywhere, or anyone in the world with the device in our pockets. We are filled with confidence that we will make a better future for ourselves. That we have no limits. The kingdom is right around the corner…
At the same time, fewer and fewer people are attending church in the US. People who grew up in church are leaving, disengaging. Belief in a kingdom we can make for ourselves is strong, but it is a kingdom without a King.
What is the church to be in this cultural moment?

12 Let Us Make a Name for Ourselves

From Series: "Genesis: In the Beginning - Leawood Campus"
How did we get here? More than just a question of origins, this is an inquiry into the meaning of life, the purpose of humanity, the problems of the world, and the direction of history. While humanity has put forth many attempts to answer these questions, it is clear that a pervasive confusion still remains in our search for who and why we are. Perhaps our confusion is a result of starting from the wrong place. We are tempted to find the answer within ourselves. But what if the answer was never meant to start with us? What if, instead, the better answer starts somewhere else or with Someone else? Join us this spring as we look back at the timeless book of Genesis in order to live forward in our cultural moment. And as we do, may we discover who we’re meant to be by encountering the One who has always been.

Conversation Starters
Conversation Starters are one way we at Christ Community seek to dig deeper into the current sermon and biblical text. They are available during community group sessions.
There are two easy ways to locate
Conversation Starters:
1) Weekly Update emails, delivered to your personal email every Saturday morning, will always contain a link to Sermon Notes, and Conversation Starters (when available);
or
2) Use the Sermon Locator to select your sermon by campus, speaker and date. Below the title graphic select the link for EXTRAS. Sermon Notes, and Conversation Starters are located under EXTRAS.
NOTE: If EXTRAS does not exist, there are no Sermon Notes or Conversation Starters for that sermon.
