But Jesus is saying that one day the truth will be known. Jesus will return and where we spend and how we spend the remainder of eternity has everything to do with what we believe today.
We can either be ruled by false belief and find ourselves at war with Jesus, or we can surrender our false beliefs and conquer with Jesus. While others feast today, we hold fast to hidden manna of which the rest of the world knows nothing. When others are invited to prestigious positions because they promote the world’s values, we hold on to the invitation to feast at Jesus’ banquet at the end of time. When so many are making a name for themselves, we rest content that our name is hidden in Christ’s name to be revealed when He returns.
The world is heading for a disastrous end. We on the other hand long to be a church for the end of the world. So may we hold onto Jesus in every way knowing that even in the ordinary the greatest battles are won by faith.
