Each semester, our campus takes on the task of making meals for The Hope Center and for The Global Orphan Project’s ministry called Strengthening Families. Both of these ministries impact and bless kids and families throughout our city every week. The meals feed youth and their Bible study leaders or families studying to improve parenting skills.
These meals enable them to study well and may be their best meal of the week.
Will you work with your friends, community group, or Bible study group to make a meal for The Hope Center or The Strengthening Families program? We can’t do this without you! While it may feel overwhelming to cook for 60, if you gather a few others, it is very manageable. Here are some ideas:
- Sandwiches: have an assembly party and build 120 slider sandwiches. Serve with chips, carrots, and a cookie.
- Lasagna: Purchase pre-made lasagna from Costco or Sam’s Club (or make your own), to serve with a caesar salad and garlic bread.
- Taco Bar: Prepare taco meat, with tortilla chips, lettuce, tomato, salsa, cheese, and sour cream as toppings.
- Baked Potato Bar: Bake potatoes and provide bbq beef, cheese, broccoli or other toppings.
