"TUNE IN"
We live in a noisy world, where messages compete, crowd out, and often contradict. We want students to recognize the influencing voices of their life. These include but are not limited to: the voices of those around us, the inner voice of our natural self, and most importantly, God’s voice. During this years' Fall Retreat, we want to equip our students to test these voices—discerning if they are true and trustworthy, or perhaps false and fictitious.

  • John 10:4: "When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice."

It's critical for the disciple of Jesus to hear and listen to the voice of her Shepherd. This Fall we will dive into the Gospel of John, Chapter 10, hoping to grow in our awareness of God's voice in a broken world. We also hope to pick up some new skills in silencing the multitude of competing voices that often plague the lives of American teenagers.

We hope our Middle School students will join us for this fun-packed, age-appropriate, and timely retreat. It's a special opportunity to break away from our normal routines and recenter our lives around the Gospel . . . alongside friends and trusted adults.

VOLUNTEERS
We are so thankful for such a well gifted and qualified team of volunteers here at Christ Community and Christian Fellowship. This retreat will be well staffed with adults who not only keep students safe, but who are invested in the ministry to see teenagers grow in their faith and Christ-likeness. Our adult volunteers will serve primarily as cabin leaders and will be properly trained for the weekend. We do background checks and personal interviews with every volunteer working with children and teenagers.

CONFLICTS & SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS
We understand the busy lives of our families and want to serve them in any way we can. We strongly believe this spiritual retreat is something worth investing in and setting as a priority for the fall semester. The spiritual lives of our teenagers have been greatly impacted, year-after-year, by this annual retreat.

With that said, we are very willing to help and serve families who encounter schedule conflicts on the weekend of October 18-20. If you have a conflict, please contact your respective campus Student Ministries Pastor prior to the retreat to discuss the options for your student’s participation.
