Each year, our Middle School Leadership Team and I (Joey Wilson) take on the task of PURPLE!—teaching/discussing on the topic of human sexuality in an age-appropriate way here at Christ Community Church.
God's design for sexuality couldn't be more "relevant," "helpful," or "needed" regarding our middle school students than ever before. Our children are learning and being exposed to more sexual images, ideas, and conversation at progressively earlier ages. It is paramount that we address God's careful and beautiful design for woman and man with our students, and I want to invite you to consider this Purple Series as a helpful tool as we seek to disciple our young people in this Church Family.
It can be difficult to decide when to talk to you child about sex and God's design, and we respect the parent's (your!) responsibility to be the primary teacher in the lives of the pre-teens and teens at Christ Community Church. However, I do want to encourage you to have your student in attendance for our Midweek Gathering throughout this series. I think it will helpful, fruitful, and even fun.
You parents will receive the teaching content and discussion questions in advance, so you can make well-informed decisions about your child's attendance at midweek.
Here is a quick preview of the series in outline form.
Pink (Understanding God's Design for Eve)
Big Idea: God made Eve on purpose and for a purpose.
We want to reveal the value of women (and womanhood) by building on a Biblical understanding of God's design for Eve.
Blue (Understanding God's Design For Adam)
Big Idea: God made Adam on purpose and for a purpose.
We want to reveal the value of men (and manhood) by building on a Biblical understanding of God's design for Adam.
Purple (Understanding God's Design for Sex & Marriage)
Big Idea:God made sex on purpose and for a purpose.
We want to equip students with a Biblical understanding of sex and marriage by revealing God's design found in the Scriptures.

If you have any questions, I (Joey Wilson) would be happy to connect with you. We are honored and excited to minister to your students through this important series!
