Each Wednesday, our middle school students gather at the Leawood Campus for fellowship, small group discussion, games, songs, and teaching.
This Wednesday we are partnering with our friends at Something to Eat™—a crisis response, meal packaging program that binds together the privileged and the poor. It is designed as a socially interactive, tangible way for students to respond to relief efforts through responsible, low-cost, nutrient-dense meals. A pulsating spirit sweeps over every one of our meal packaging events where youth organize their friends, youth groups, churches and schools. A steady rhythm develops as they heap cups of dry ingredients into funnels and bags, and they seal and they stack.
For the past few weeks, our small groups have been raising cash to fund this special serve project. If you would like to donate additional money, please bring it with you to Midweek. All money goes toward the cost of the meal packages and supplies.
