A network of men and women who are involved in adoption
The Adoption Connection is a group of men and women who desires to come alongside individuals and couples wanting to adopt, as well as families raising kids who have been adopted, by providing support, education, and social activities. Some are adoptive parents, some are families who seek to encourage and support adoptive parents, and others are considering or are in the process of becoming adoptive parents. Please contact Nancy Deckman for information on how to connect with this group: email@example.com.
However you might fit, you are welcome to join this group as they seek to encourage, support, and resource one another.
Military Support Group
A network of men and women who have served in the armed forces
The Military Support Group is a group of men and women who have served in the armed forces. Some served for a four-year enlistment, others made their career in the military, many others served for a duration somewhere between the two. Whatever your story, the Military Support Group welcomes your participation and engagement.
The group focuses their time on praying for Christ Community’s military service members and their families as well as caring for veterans. For more information, please contact Kelly Franz.
A team of men and women who are able to help
those in need with basic home repair
Within our congregation, we have often been asked to help widows and others in need with small projects or simple home repairs. These repair and maintenance needs matched the skills of many in our congregation who have gifts in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, as well as general home and property maintenance. Thus, the HandyMan/Woman Team at the Leawood Campus began. Those who are involved work on a variety of projects as they become known during the year.
If you have skills or talents in this area and would like to use them on occasion to help others in need, please contact Warren Traynor.
A group of all ages interested in photography
The photography group gathers a few times a year to participate in photo walks around the city. They enjoy sharing tips and tricks as well as time in the art of photography. Occasionally, the work of this group is displayed in the lobby of the Leawood Campus.
If you would like to be included in reminders and participate in these periodic photo walks, please contact Joey Wilson.
