Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form

One of the first questions newcomers often ask is, “How can I get involved and help serve at my campus?” That spirit includes a willingness to roll up our sleeves and jump in where there are needs. Some needs are specialized, and some may not be where you feel best utilized, but while you wait for that perfect spot to help, remember that we almost always need someone to step up. Will you be that someone?

Check out some of the volunteer opportunity ideas, then fill out our Volunteer Interest Form to get started.

If you’re a warm, welcoming, and hospitable person who takes ownership of a space, this is the team for you! Contact Sarah Reardon for more information.

Service Participants Team

The Service Participants Team facilitates corporate worship that brings the congregation into the presence of God. This team primarily serves in “up front” roles at worship services, such as reading Scripture or beginning the service with a moment of welcome. If you are comfortable with thoughtfully leading portions of the gathering from up front, the Gathering Participant Team is your spot! Contact Tyler Chernesky for more information.

Communion Servers Team

The Communion Servers Team allows Christ followers in the congregation to remember what Christ has done and to look forward to what He will do through the ordinance of communion. If you are a church member and would like to participate in serving communion, let us know! Contact Evan Freed for more information.

Music Team

The Music Team leads the congregation in singing praises to Jesus Christ. Participation on this team involves a mid-week rehearsal as well as service at both Sunday morning services. If you are musically gifted, whether vocally, instrumentally, or both, think about joining this team! Contact Ryan Hiser for more information.

Children’s Ministries Team

The Children’s Ministries Team exists to get children excited about coming to church. Through combining values of intergenerational ministry, parental involvement, and safety, this team creates a fun and safe environment for our littlest to engage in the gospel. If you love kids and are interested in serving on this team, contact our Children’s Ministries Leadership Team.

Daytime Event Coordinator

Do you have the gift of hospitality? Would you like to help us host events throughout the week at the Leawood Campus? From time to time (maybe twice a month), we have events where we could use some volunteers to help by decorating tables, setting up food, and helping serve and clean up when the event is over. The daytime events coordinator is someone who has the vision to be creative, spread some hospitality, and fill out a team of volunteers for each event by contacting others who have indicated a willingness to help at these events.

Daytime Events Helper

Do you want to help at some of the daytime events we host but don’t have the time or capacity to be the coordinator? We could use you on our list of willing helpers.
