Coming HOME
The holidays are a time when we think about home. For some, home is a place of warm memories. For others, home was a place you couldn’t wait to escape. But all of us have some sense that we aren’t quite at home in the world. One of the many ways the Bible talks about the human experience is the feeling of being away from our true home. The Bible calls this exile. We are all—to use Steinbeck’s turn of phrase—living East of Eden. This Advent we are going to explore our longing for home and look at the hope that the Old Testament book of Isaiah offers that one day we will be able to come home at last.

Join us this Advent season. Our doors are open. Coffee is ready. There’s a seat for you. Welcome home.

01 Church for Monday

Church for Monday - Brookside Campus

Ephesians 4:11-12

From Series: "Church for Monday - Brookside Campus"

Everyone has a Monday. It's the home where you live, and the people you love. It’s your neighbors and hobbies, where you work or go to school. It’s the causes that capture your heart. Those things—both ordinary and extraordinary—that make up all of life. Everyone has a Monday. But too often, churches have merely focused on Sunday, even though following Jesus has always been about all of life. We know that our greatest influence as a church comes on Monday, as we spread out into the various roles and responsibilities where God has placed us. Come explore this whole-life discipleship, highlighting seven marks of a growing disciple of Jesus…

Conversation Starters

Conversation Starters are one way we at Christ Community seek to dig deeper into the current sermon and biblical text.

There are two easy ways to locate
Conversation Starters:

1)Weekly Update emails, delivered to your personal email every Saturday morning, will always contain a link to Sermon Notes, and Conversation Starters;

or

2) Use the Sermon Locator to select your sermon by campus, speaker and date. Below the title graphic select the link for EXTRAS. Sermon Notes, and Conversation Starters are located under EXTRAS.

NOTE: If EXTRAS does not exist, there are no Sermon Notes or Conversation Starters for that sermon.
